Colibra Island and Tambobong Beach in Dasol, PangASINan

Stayed late at night for that next seat sale but failed to grab one? Just 5 to 6 hour ride from the Metro, the not so popular Beach of Tambobong in Dasol is giving you reasons to go up north this summer instead. In a group of 24, your Php 1,600.00 can take you to an overnight stay in Pangasinan, complete with fare, meals, accommodation and of course Island Hopping. This is not an absolute amount but a deal cautiously accounted and budgeted for.

You may contact Ate Nova thru 09177238994 or thru facebook at https://www.facebook.com/VGP-Van-Rental-1790411434561101/?ref=nf for the Van Rental. I suggest to request her to personally drive you to your destination, she’s giving a generous discount in that case. For accommodation, you may contact Ate Vivian of R Paradise Beach Resort thru 09954583537 or 09088202016. The place is good enough to stay overnight plus they offer meals for a minimal cost.

Minutes away from Tambobong beach is Colibra or the Camaso Island. Rent a boat for about Php 800.00 with a capacity of 6, Docking Fee for Php 100.00, Life Vest for Php 50.00 and a Cottage for Php 100.00. The bangkeros also offer a set of lunch in the island.

If you’ve been to El Nido in Palawan, Camiguin or Boracay, the fact of expecting a much higher standard is understandable. What makes this a must visit is its exclusivity away from a bustling  city which is perfect for Family or Barkadas wanting a peaceful place to relax and unwind. It’s a discovery on our part to be on this remote place and a big step for locals to promote their tourism.

Cabacungan Cave is also a popular spot here. I actually enjoyed the boat ride going there because the water that time started to misbehave. I’m aware of the danger but the fun and excitement overcome the fear. There’s literally no one when we visited this area, such a lovely place and it was a great experience to capture this beautiful nature right before my naked eyes.

Other spots to visit in Dasol are Salabusuban Falls and a number of Towns known for Salt Making. For the record, the name Pangasinan pronounced as Pang-gASINan means place for salt or place of salt-making, it is derived from the prefix pang meaning for, the root word asin, meaning salt, and suffix an, signifying location.

On your way back home, you may want to stop and buy something in Tuboan Fish Market or order a set of meal in Melba’s Store. Try their Nilagang Baka for Php 70.00+++ complete with one cup of rice and bottle of soda.

No need to travel miles at all times, what you’re searching for might just be an hour away.

The beauty of this place will remain captured in my memory and printed in my heart.

See you in PangASINan!
