This might be my last stop before summer officially ends. Zambales is a province in Central Luzon and its geographical location is what makes this a perfect beach hub. You may contact Kuya Noel thru +63 950 415 3775 and Kuya Ding thru +63 915 259 6848 for the Van Rentals, you’ll spend 3-4 hour ride from the Metro. For accommodation, you may contact the Capones Vista Beach Resort thru (047) 603 1382 or +63 920 918 3668. It is located in Brgy. Pundaquit, San Antonio, Zambales. The place is excellent and they also offer delicious made-to-order food so don’t forget to preorder your meals.
You may get in touch with the Resort’s Admin in case you want to learn more about the place or if you have any other concerns. In our case, we asked for famous spots around the area and they personally suggest the Casa San Miguel which is just around 15 minutes from the resort. You may rent a tricycle for Php 100 to Php 150 for 4 persons per way depending on your negotiation. Casa San Miguel highlights different forms of the art. For Php 100 entrance fee, you’ll be delighted to have an unlimited (Starbucks) coffee. They also offer pastries for a minimal cost.
We got the chance to meet two young artists who facilitates in the overall appearance of the Museum. They are graduates of the Philippine Women’s University (PWU).
You may also visit Rosa Farm for Mango Picking. (Zambales is known for their sweet mangoes). Sadly, we do not have enough time for this so please share your experience when you get the chance.
CAMARA, CAPONES & ANAWANGIN
The following day, everything is set for our half day Island Hopping Tour starting from the Camara Island to Capones to Anawangin.
Camara Island – the scenic and spectacular surface rock outcrop divides the stretch of the beach making it a bit difficult to cross. Please mind the presence of small jellyfishes.
Capones Island – the preservation of the island makes it more appealing.
Anawangin – the busiest of the three, is getting out of control because of the continuous arrival of tourists. It makes the area unclean and not perfect for those looking for complete relaxation.
Thank you and I wish you a safe trip in Zambales. Please comment below on how I can improve the content of this article.
